One morning, Manny did not come down from the trees to play.

Everett wondered where Manny could be.

Everett saw Penny Python, wrapped around a branch in Viney Tree. 

"Penny, have you seen my best friend, Manny?" asked Everett.

Penny said, "Ssss-sss," and that was all.

Everett walked along a little farther down the jungle path and saw Gerry the Giraffe.  

"Gerry, have you seen my best friend, Manny?" asked Everett.

Gerry just kept eating leaves off High Tree and didn't answer.

Everett walked farther down the jungle path and saw King Leonard, sitting in the bushes.  

"Sire, I cannot find my best friend, Manny," said Everett.

"Roar," said King Leonard. "Early this morning he and his parents moved to High Mountain."

"High Mountain!" exclaimed Everett.   "Where is that?"

"It is at the end of South Trail.   On the other side of Large Lake," answered the lion as he walked away.

Everett walked to the end of South Trail.   He came to the sandy shore of Large Lake.   He could see High Mountain on the other side.

Everything looked different in this neighborhood.
