The sun left hot on Everett's head.  

He still felt very sad and wiped away two tears.  

He sucked up some cool water from Large Lake and sprayed it all over himself.

He felt much better.    

Everett picked up the rope and held it in his trunk.

Oh, he did so hope that Frog would find Manny and bring him back to play.

Everett felt a tug on the rope.

Everett pulled and pulled.

He tugged and tugged.

The boat moved across Large Lake.

When the boat bumped against the sand, Manny jumped out and ran to Everett.    

He hugged Everett's trunk.

Everett was so happy.    

Everett swung Manny up onto his back.

"Happy Birthday, Manny, riding on my back.   We'll have a party in the sand and make lots of tracks."

Manny jumped up and down on Everett's back and made happy, chittery monkey sounds.
